About Me
I have been a member of SEMG for 4 years. My layout ‘St Anne's’ is on two 4' square boards, and seems to be an expanded version of ‘Bredon’, Alan Wood's pioneering layout of the 1970s (Railway Modeller September 1981). The layout was bought in the Salisbury area, and now represents a local secondary junction in the Hampshire - Dorset area, with locos and trains of Western and Southern origins, as well as British Railways Standard steam and diesel, with occasional visitors from the Midlands via the Somerset &Dorset Joint. Control is from the front at present, but does allow occasional supervised audience participation. Why 'St Annes' ? It is the church where the present owner is vicar! I'm also a life member of Swanage and Bluebell railways, and recently privileged to footplate the South Devon Railway.
